Radio Q, under PT. Radio Ria Kencana, first aired officially on August 1, 2002 after the previous (June-July 2002) has been testing the broadcast. First aired, with Q Radio Call Sign AM 5 FQR 87.95 airs on FM frequencies.
With the canalization of the Minister of Transport policy at that time, then starting on May 2, 2004 Radio segment that takes young adults (18-35 years old) now airs on 88.3 FM frequency.
In the broadcasts, in addition to presenting music for adults and young people, Radio Q also gives info about the lifestyle and entertaintment to the audience. In general, the percentage of the music presented is 60% International 40% Indonesian Hits and Hits for communities in Yogyakarta and Central Java.
